I read the article and think the kid's got alot of emotional baggage probably related to sports humiliations and bullying, nothing more.

It's been a while since I was in college, so I'm not nearly as enlightened or wise as I once was   , but I think Tillman represents something  more to Gonzalez..something he only talks to his therapist about.

As for his stance on the war, whoopie do. My country and many others are positively packed with people who don't have much of a clue as to what's really going on "over there" and thus don't understand the absolute necessity of the whole thing. Just take a look at this bbs!

Having said the above, it was wrong to post the guy's phone number in order to incite people to call him and say who knows what. Yeah, I think it's very sickening and I'm disgusted with him, but he has his rights just like the rest of us. He simply takes them for granted.

Actually, most of the people here are just practicing the freedom of speech right back at Rene. I do not support threats of physical violence against this author, but any words, which can include anything from questions to insults, is just fine. An unpopular idea was expressed, and a reaction ensues. Nothing wrong or stupid about that.

the somewhat ironic part is that this guy has the same problem the bush-fanbois have.  he can't seem to distinguish between Afghanistan and Iraq.

with Afghanistan being a necessary operation in response to attacks on our homeland, and Iraq being Bush's pet project that he used the excuse of the 'war on terror' to justify (though he didn't justify it well enough for most).

the other funny (sad?) thing is that some pimply faced college kid can spout out a bunch of crap like this and sooner or later, someone else, in an equally mindless fashion will cut&paste it  under the heading "this is what 'the left' thinks about Pat Tillman"
