I know of another funny story from New Zealand. Unforutunetly I haven't been able to find the original news article. But some students apparently sneaked up on a police speed camera van parked on the side of the road, while the cop was reading his paper and stole the front and back licence plates off it.
Fixed the plates on their own car and then proceeded to drive past the police van numerous times over the limit.
End result was the police ticketing themselves over 70 times in one afternoon.
