How "Office Space" is viewed at work:
I came into work last Monday and was not glad to be there. The gent in the office next to me came by and said "Looks like someone has a case of the mondays."
The first time I met the engineer I currently work with, he was in an office that was "compressed" There was barely enough room to move in it. I looked at the office and said "Yeah, we're going to have to move you down to the basement." He didn't reply, he only reached out and grabbed his stapler holding it close to his chest.
I received an e-mail from a VP in regards to a part I hadn't returned after 24hrs. I was about to explain that the part had a 24 hour drying time on it before I could allow it to be transported when I noticed that I had 5 more e-mails from every single manager in the food chain between the VP and me. I blurted out... "What? This is worse than a TPS report cover sheet!" One of the managers in earshot of the blurt (same floor) immediately sent an e-mail out saying "I think that only one of us needs to respond to this" to all the other managers involved.
I have a red stapler on my desk.
