Well, well, well.  I finally seen my first 12 to 6 warp last night. Actually it was pretty cool!!

I dove down upon a P-47 that was in the trail of a friendly Spitfire.  I checked my 6 and there was a Spitfire about 2.6 back.  OK. I got time. I start creeping up on this guy, and I get to about 1.0 and "zip" he is gone. I noticed a red flash shoot by my canopy on the left side.  I do a rear view check and there is a P-47 about 1.4 behind me!!  WHAT??

WOW! So this is what alot of people talk about?  Pretty neat!!  I managed to evade and climbed to a higher alt, turned on the recorder and dove into the fray once again, looking for a P-47.  I got blasted by a Spit before I had a chance to record any doings.  Ah well!  Better luck next time.

The action isnt really a disappear then re-appear.  It is like a extremely fast warp from front to back. That is the way it looked to me anyways.  All the motion of all A/C before and after that, was extremely fluid and stable.  Kinda Wierd!

I have seen many types of warp and strange things on this on-line sim, but this was totally different!

I'm not on a witch hunt here, but lets compare notes.  The person that warped on me from 12>>6 was  flying for Bish.

I saw someone jumping around quite a bit (in a P47) on the rook/knit frontline. It didn't appear to be intentional as it seemed to be pretty random and not when it would be to his advantage.

Sour, what I described in my post (same as what Swager describe), was not a typical warp.  Not jumping around.  It was a situation where when one gets within guns solution range (D1.0 or less) and the person in question disappears all together for about 1/2 of a second, then re-appears on you 12 with their guns a-blazing.  My experience was on a rock solid connect, 150 MS, 0 packets lost.  In WB's there were a few that used this cheat as an advantage.  First time I saw it in AH was 2 days ago.

Saw the same thing about 3 days ago but i am also keeping in mind that the connections have been real crappy over this period too.
Last night tho was real wierd conn looked good, err well good for me anyway 250ms and no visible packet loss, i was online for about 4 hours and only got 2 kills in that time and for me thats crap.
Even tho the conn showed good, bullets would just not hit target, it had to be a stationery target or a dead 6 shot / HO to score any hits.
Very frustrating as i can usually score hits well in turn fights and snap shots.
Got so annoying i resorted to some tanking and was crap at that too

Howdy Ripsnort! Your neighbor from Kirkland here. Just wanted to confirm this type of warping to you as it's happened to me also, but in a less malevolent way.

I was joined up on JimBear, about 29D. at his 7 o'clock. All of a sudden he scoots forward about 100D. for a half second, then he zaps back behind me about 1.5D. Then suddenly he is 1.2D. in front of me.

I have DSL, and I think JimBear is on cable.
I think all this warping is the result of more people being logged into the MA since the 19.95 thing. Prior to this, the only significant warping I had experienced was the 3.9 to 3.7 bug.

In my case, the warp was of no consequence as it was a squadmate. Had I of had your experience, I might be thinking it was intentional also. But it could be that someone just took an advantage of an opportune system warp.

I hope HTC takes a close look at how the additional load on the servers affects game play. From what I've seen since I've been here, they make every effort towards customer satisfaction.

Word has it that the election situation has brought a record number of people online performing a record number of searches.  I wonder if this has impacted connection stability to HTC this past week.

 The Net, in general, is bogged down a bit right now (all over the US) in no small way due to the US election.

 So if the folks in the OT forums all over the net would do thier part and quit posting comments, movies, pictures and links to news sites about it we would all appreciate it.

Had same situation with a pesky P51 a couple of nights ago seems everytime i got in for a six shot this guy would warp right past me to my six.  Wouldn't disappear just travel really really fast backwards to my six eventually I was just overwhelmed by others in the area and shot down like the dirty dog that I am
