To most of the people who play this game, community is a huge part of it. I know I've never (besides AH) had my interest held by a single game for years on end; in my case it's because of the other people that play, and the multiple ways we keep in touch. So something I'd love to see in AH2 is a buddy list -- but it's 2 steps, so hear me out.

You know, just like AIM or whatever. In the arena, you can add people to your list just to see who's on without scrolling through 500 names on the roster. We have this to some extent with ch4 and tunable vox channels, but it'd be better if you could add anyone. Seems like this could be handled client-side pretty easily, without too much demand on the server/internet connection.
The second part I'd like to see would be a cross-arena buddy list. The purpose of this would be to see who is in all arenas, not just the current one you're in. This way, instead of saying "hmm no squaddies on tonight" I would quickly see that they've declared an impromptu CT or the DA night, and could go join them. I think this could go a long way toward increasing attendance in the CT, because people would be able to fly with squaddies there without scheduling it beforehand. This feature would be especially nice once the TOD arena is running - it would go a long way toward reducing the deaded "community split."
IIRC, the MA and the DA/TA/CT are on two different servers, so I don't know how feasable it'd be for them to talk to each other. But I can dream.
Thoughts?
