But coming from a non-squad point of view the range vox squelch would heavily negatively affect me.

It would almost be fun to glue the range channel keyboard key down and give the mic to my chihuahua while he humps his stuffed animal for a few hours.....Call it Canine intervention?

Make sure I fly around so the furbs are forced to listen...

OK.  Whatever.  You're just trolling and being obnoxious now.

You have no more regards for other people's position's than they do.

they do have it so you can right click on the persons name and squelch them,  you do not have to use the dot command.  just for those that may not know.

I wasn't trolling I was being serious, I am going to glue range channel button down and fly around every large furball I can find... That is my regard to the bull**** I have been forced to put up with while trying to enjoy the game I love!

As I said, trolling and being obnoxious.

You are saying "I will take away a part of the game that other's like because some people are jerks and s!"

What you propose is no different than what they do.

On the flip side, squelching you would be a piece of cake.

Some people love the range channel and some don't.  Everyone has their own opinion.  The discussion should not be which is the better option, but whether players should be allowed to choose for themselves.   It has no effect on the "fairness" of the game so why force us to use (or not use) it?

Make a box that you can check or uncheck in preferences and leave it up to the individuals.

Buzzz,

Because if it is not universal it is useless.

I would not waste time trying to use it if I knew there was a very good chance that the person I wanted to communicate with could not receive my message.  I have better things to do with my time that talk at walls.

The check box you suggest is not a balanced choice.  Frankly, I don't think there is a balanced choice for this issue.  The request should read: "Get rid of range vox."

I totally see your point but I believe that a very high percentage of people (I would wager over 90%) would still use it so it would not be useless.  The fact that it can save your life time and time again is great motivation to leave it on.

However, there are times like squad ops and small children in the room etc. that it would be useful to be able to turn it off.

I personally like range vox myself.  I just think using it should be voluntary and not forced.
