Five minutes of Night just before the hour would be cool. It would be fun to plan a mission so you arrive over the target at night.
Searchlights and player controlled AAA would make it that much better.

If you want night play a little H2H, Zapkin's game has night about 1/4 of the time I log in. It does get old though when you're staring at an icon for a NIKI and you can't even see the damn plane at d400.

Is it supposed to be as realistic as it can be here?.
"Sometimes" it is night and dark out there, in real life, isn't it?.
It was a night war in the air in WWII, ok?
Then bring this "as real as it gets" and give just a little bite of night to the sim.
This will not harm it.

Guess they'd better make the HQ indestructable when the city is less than 50% standing. People log when they realize they're going to have to do w/o radar for 2.5hrs. And night time was much, much shorter than the radar outages I'm so fond of causing
