still cant make it work

everytime i spend 1 hour downloading AH2, 5 mins installing then 5 minutes restarting my PC, then finally 1 minute loading the game, this error promt comes up:

'initialization failed with -3 main GR3D_failed -4'

am asuming this means i need a new 3d card?

(sees himself flying aimlessly about an empty AH1 arena porking fields and sinking CVs unchallenged, waiting for that elusive vulch)
