Satellite TV / Internet
« on: May 24, 2004, 07:52:02 PM »
While watching the Lakers game the other night at my neighbor's house who just got satellite in, we noticed there seemed to be a 2 second or so delay between us and the party across the street on regular cable. Does this sound like a normal situation? I would assume that this would also carry over into internet connection thru satellite, correct? Anybody have experience with this?

It should be closer to 3 seconds, but that is about right.

that's also why online gaming such as Aces High is not that great when it comes to satellite internet.  There's allways gonna be a delay.

Change "not great" to "virtually impossible" :)
