Yup, Rabid was good too, spent a lot of time gunning in his B-25 too, he usually didnt need a gunner in the 'Vader. The Gunfighters seemed to have an afinity for stallfighting buffs. Musta been something in the water in Bland. :)

This has nothing to do with the subject at hand, but very curious to me.  And I sure people find both equally offensive.

I care about spies.  I mean, people can do what they want with their money, but to use it to reveal CV locations, give details on missions, help in goon hunting, etc, etc, etc, that is low, unethical, silly and demonstrates some serious security and importance issues on your behalf.

You want to use a second account to push you into the top 5 or 10, great...have at it.  It's is fairly easy to tell who has a legitimate rank and who does not.  I know several people right now are using second accounts so they can feel l33t.  Woo hoo...whatever.  I get a rush from earning my score, not from gaming the game.  And I am sure not going to spend $15 extra month just to artificially inflate my score.  This month is great, next month may not be.  Whatever...all I hope to do is improve...the legitimate way.

However, I think it is crossing the line to use the second account to either 1) Win a contest or 2) reveal details that would otherwise not be known.

There was another post recently about bombers going to tank town just to kill GVs and how they were just "griefers."  They were considered griefers because they just wanted to ruin the fun of others.  Well, if anyone in this game is a griefer, it is someone that uses their second account to spoil missions, get goons killed, ruin raids and otherwise exploit an artificial and unfair advantage.  Bump up your score all you want by vulching yourself, but leave those of us who are trying to enjoy the game as it was intended alone.

Enough said...later...cheers, tally-ho, pip-pip and crumpets for all!

seems to be quite a few fragile egos and small donuts that feel the need to game the ranks in this manner.

they'll always suck, and they'll always be spotted for their suckage by anyone with a clue.

some might even call them out on their suckage - like me, for example.  :D
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

That would be a great banner for the score page :)

>>I guess I dont see the point anymore... take out scores and ranking altogether. It's such a large source of whinage<<

I don't agree :) I say let em whine; don't respond, and kill them repeatedly in the arena. Scoring is important in any game, and a part of the enjoyment. While it's true that this game's scoring formula is complicated as hell, it IS what we have. Winning however, is what any game is really all about. Hell, I kill dweebs who rank much higher than me on a regular basis. For me, winning the fight is the most important thing, and I could care less what rank some guy is whom I just shot down. ;)
I'm outta here... Poof!

Yes ... these people fully qualify to wear the "griefer" patch ... right next to their "slobberdonkey" and "loser" patches.

I think its all a matter of how much fun you get out of this.  I was new to the game about a year ago and after I got the basic idea of how to fly, I flew for rank for a while.  I found that it was nerve racking to maintain rank if you have a bad night, and given that I'm pissed at these folks who "achieved (or lack thereof)" what I had by not doing it legitimately.

But as tours went on I decided to start picking some fights, learning how to do some ACM, and now I get WAYYYY more fun out of the game when I really don't care about the rank.

To make a short story incredibly long, I think if they want to spend $ and loads of time shooting themselves in the prettythang for only a little bit of pleasure, I say let um.  They have nothing to gain by it really and if it is an experience that they look forward to at the end of a long work day to blow off steam or what have you, then go for it.  :aok

BTW, name is Howitzer, as in the large gun both in the MA and BBS.  I'm not trying to compensate for anything but I'll take all the help I can get!  :D

What about people with low ranks who switch countries to bring hidden cv's out into the open (because they "hate" it when enemies hide cv's to protect them) or otherwise control another country's assets so that their buddies can have an advantage? How does that fit in to all this? Do they wear the same patches?Or is it just second accounters?
