with this latest patch you have to go into programs controls in ZoneAlarm  add program , and give the AcesHigh II (new file name ) same permissions to access internet , just like you did before you downloaded the first AH II . The new patch renames the game to EXE , instead of "beta" ..... so what I wound up with was 3 AcesHigh permissions when finished . AH I, AH II Beta , and AH II .EXE ...
I hope you can make sence outa this ..and that it helps.

This is what I had to do.

Go into ZoneAlarm and delete/remove access for all AH, both AHI, AHII Beta and AHII (if you show all 3).

Then reboot.

Then in ZoneAlarm add/allow AHII.

Then test it.  When I did this there was no problem and AHII online ran great.

Then reboot.

Then in ZoneAlarm add/allow AHI

Then test it.  When I did this there was no problem and AHI online ran great.

When I got done both ran, and still run, great online.

So.........

Hope that helps :)

1st time I ran it, it did not minimize like the last few betas allowing me to tell ZA to allow internet connection. It just stuck, press Y got me in. The next time I ran it, ZA popped up in bottom right and I was able to tell it to allow AH2 connection to the internet and it works fine after that.

the minimize on the initial bootup of AH is broken in this patch IMO

It's not broken eagler, it has been removed because it was causing some other people not to be able to connect at all.

thanks HT

then in that case, when you first boot up, if you haven't told ZA about the latest AH2 patch  and you get stuck after you click your username/password to get online,  press "R" then "Y". "R" checks the "Remember next time" box and "Y" is the "Yes" for ZA to allow it through.

To enable all updates to Aces High to always allow a connection with Zonealarm installed.

Go to program control tab in Zonealarm, find your Aces High or Aces High 2 tab and right click on it.

Now just click on the changes frequently option.

You will never have to worry about Zonealarm intercepting and preventing Aces High connecting again.

I don't have such an option. Are you referring to Zone Alarm Pro or Zone Alarm?
