B33 video split second freezes still

After more time online tonight i can say i am still getting the split second freezes.

Tried at 1600x1200 res and 1280x1024.
Ground detail 3 miles, other 2 sliders probably 85 - 90%
All options in video setup selected also tried unlimited and 512 textures.

Sometimes while just changing view and far too often whilst fighting in close.

No CTD's for me today though.

Also noticed the fade in and out icons and ships etc have gone tonight, i hope they will return as that worked very well.

Radeon 9800 pro, Cats 4.5, all settings at quality, 4 x AA and 8 x AF
P4 3.2
Win XP Pro

Only one or two random studders here.  I think they were custom skins that were just downloaded and not in the cache though.  I just did a fresh install last night.

Two CTDs here though.  I alt tabbed and posted something quick in the message board.  Upon tabbing back in, it crashed.

had my 2nd ever AH2 CTD last night................

was rtb after a long flight/fight and the desktop just appeared........ no warning, no flicker, the transition was very smooth.

I was able to restart AH2 without difficulty

The only previous time  (several betas ago) I had a system report that i had insufficient memory to run the application............ however it is possible I had left my browser on in the back ground.  I had to reboot.

getting loads of stutters as reported elsewhere they effect both sound and vision.

Same problem here, two CTD's without warning. Also was able to restart with no problems.
