field is captured after killing 'Soft field ack'

This should be known by now. But who knows.
I captured a V-base only by killing the single ack. I got the message: 'Soft field gun destroyed', or similar.
A squaddy did the same with an A-base. He got the same message. While other acks were still up. (Maybe the manable ones)

I havent repeated it. I straffed ack at another field and didnt get a capture. I dont know if it is just a particular ack or what....

Dunno if it's repeatable on purpose, but definitely it repeats.

I have witnessed some "soft ack" capture yesterday on the North island. On the other hand, I killed a single ack and I didnīt capture anything. Can't tell what triggers capture, but seems to be ack related.

On "ndisles", atleast V3 and A22 have this bug. We "accidentally" captured those yesterday this way.

Yesterday, the rooks captured about 7-8 fields within 45 minutes.
All by killing only the acks.

realy hard to repeat - need to get some one to capture the damn thing back to try again.

I know from a27 to a26, I captured the feild this way in m8 with HE. When you get to the top of the ridge overlooking the VBASE (26) I think it's the AAA to your right (when looking through sight)


Also had this happen with A8 from cv 41 -
hit AAA on feild (soft gun emplacement) and it was captured. This was in the triple 8"

All you gotta do is start shootin guns, by the 3rd or 4th gun it will capture.

need to find out if a certain gun at a base is doing it - or if it's random

Its random, sometime there will be 1 gun that doesn't die on the 1st couple of passes, when it finally does die its usually the 1 that captures, and it's not always the same kind of gun.

I was just in manned AAA in Beta when it was destroyed - resulted in a capture of A1

in Beta 34, I straifed and straifed v2 ndsiles ack and couldn't kill it in a spit14, all guns hitting target. After the 3rd pass, I even augered straight into the ack, guns a blazing. No effect on the ack.
