but it does kinda support something I've said for quite awhile (usually while drunk and philosophical. not generally a good combo, but usually somewhat entertaining), it goes like this-
plastic surgery is a self supporting industry. it allows ugly people to breed more often (since they won't appear ugly), so you get an increase in naturally ugly people, so an increase in potential customers, when they compare their natural looks to the altered looks of celebrities and such.
I know, basically drunken rambling but it makes sense, sort of.
