Is a thing of the past in AH2:

Pyro:

Yeah, we are going to limit the amount of fuel porkage that can be inflicted on a base. No DT's and 75% fuel will be the most that fuel supplies will be limited to.

Praise God! I guess Bish will have to actually fight for bases now, rut roh! No more suicide pork 'n auger processions into fuel! The long term ramifications this change will have on gameplay is almost unfathomable! Not the least of which is to make the large maps with more spread out base patterns far more playable! All hail HTC!

SO the only option to prevent rook steamroller is gone? Lets all cater to the horde...very nice..Hmm.I'll have bishop's as my main course, with just a sprinkling of knight for my reset...What do you mean there is only 1 serving per 10 people? I want my money back! Where's the manager?

The new plan was announced in AH2 yesterday. No base will be porkable below 75% fuel, and it will take 90% damage to get it there. 50% fuel damage causes the DTs to be unavailable.

Don't get too happy or worried though (depending on your thoughts on fuel porkers). With the current FBM, 75% fuel will virtually eliminate certain planes from being able to go on the offense if they plan on RTBing (depending somewhat on which map). Pyro made the strat change to balance the new FBM, I think it has much promise.

Well, I think this kind of sucks, myself.  Don't get me wrong, I hate being on the receiving end of fueld porkage.  That being said, it is really going to make base capture more difficult when you factor in the "super-sized" towns that each field now has.  Additionally, you won't be able to effectively isolate a base for capture any more by porking the fuel at surrounding fields.  Don't really see the point of even having fuel porkage at all if you are not going to allow it to be dropped to at least 50%.

Oh well, I am sure we'll adapt.

Just my opinion...disregard if you like.

Blammo:

It would be a nice thing IMO for bases to be much easier to capture.  The current methods suck... i.e. pork the nearbye bases and kill hangars so that there is no resistance and then it still takes another 20 mins to complete the capture.

I would much rather the base capture would be easy except in the case of extremely active defense.  I think the game would be much better if base captures involved pitched battles with bases being captured and recaptured rapidly.

The best longest lasting way to stop the steamroller is by killing barracks.  No troops no capture plain and simple.
