The Mother of all War Games: War In the Pacific

I know a lot of folks on this forum played or are still playing Uncommon Valor, War in the Pacific is it's big brother and looks to be a whole lot better, in many ways other than just the scope of the game:

It will be out soon, like in the next month i suspect, it will be available in Europe and Austraila, and the States, from their warehouses in those areas, it will also be available by digital download.

It is the UV engine for the entire war, but they have made extensive modifications to it, many things are different though, read the sight or visit the forums at:

I wraped up my last PBEM UV game a few weeks ago, in anticapation of doing WiTP games, They say it will take you a year or so of PBEM turns to do the whole war scenarious (depending on how many turns you do a day).

Sounds like Gary Grisby.

Has anyone ever completed Bombing the Reich?  It is one of those games that if you played six missions a day four times a week it would still take you almost a year to complete.  And that is offline.  I couldn't imagine a 1943 BTR campaign PBEM.  It would take longer than the actual war.

Great depth, look forward to playing it thats for sure.

The testers are saying Turn one takes around 8 hours to make, but after that they can do it around 30-60 minutes, depending on how you play it.

30 to 60 minutes a turn in a game that has one turn equal to 12 hours and lasts over a period of several years gametime? There had better not be a bug that crashes the game late in '45.  :)

Man, I will go through three computers before I finish a game.

That is fine and dandy but I am sure that won't be for everyone.

I will of course buy it, I love in depth games like that.
