I found that after I operate the field gun for a while, it starts snapping into it's default position and will not rotate. It will however move vertically. After logging and rerunning AH2, the gun will again operate for a while. It works between a half hour and a hour before freezing. I'm thinking memory leak.

i had that happen to me in an AA gun at a12, i think it was.

I had this happen a few nights ago as well. Current Beta.
Have no idea which base I was at, but I think it was the NDIsles map.

Up/down movement; no side/side.

I had just been strafed. Do field guns take damage short of being destroyed? The gun worked fine before the strafing pass.

Returning to the tower then re-upping the gun fixed it -- until the nmy came back and strafed it for good ... which landed me in the tower per the usual.

Baltic - A19, also A24 - North manned gun & southwest manned gun both hang. Never tried the south gun.

I wondered if it was because someone was trying to deploy to the gun but that isn't it in tests with WildPuP.

However, the colors of the gun positions don't register properly in the hanger. Both of us saw yellow and green gun positions even when the gun was occupied. The occupied gun positions only turned red when the cursor was moved over an invisible rectange near the gun position.

WildPup posted under WiLdStar5 a related shore battery bug in the normal Bug Report Forum instead of here. It seems one of the shore batteries is not visible for him. His video spec. is there.

Sorry... it was the northern most manned AA at A19 of the Baltic terrain. But it has happened on multiple guns and multiple maps. It seems to be intermittant and affected by time.

I manned a gun two nights ago at A19 for an hour or more with no problems. I had tried all three guns at that base (don't remember which) with no problems. Suddenly the guns (all of them) would lock up after a few moments. So I went to A34 where the guns had worked earlier, and they locked up also (all of them). I logged and re-ran AH2 and they all worked again.

In an earlier post I mentioned the same problem using the Trinity map (the one that NB made).
