Reschke asked me to do a VF-17 "Big Hog" Corsair a while back. At the time I declined since AH doesn't have a F4U-1A and the 1D skin has too many bugs to make it look right. It looks OK as an F4U-1 skin however, so I did it on that. You just have to use your imagination a bit on the canopy. :) If everyone's happy with it I'll post it on AH Skins later. I'll try sending it to HTC too, but I'm not sure how they feel about plane substitutions WRT skins.

Looks pretty nice. I noticed a slight "detail" in Skuzzy's submission guidelines:

"We will not accept skins that alter the overall shape of the object."

This seems to suggest that shapes can be changed.

And .... well .... altering the canopy to a bubble wouldn't change the overall shape.

I wonder if this is worth exploring?

Ok .... how do we do the skin thang again?

OK, it is up at AH Skins. Shame about that wingtip trick, would be just the thing for FAA Corsairs.

I'm not sure where the canopy frame colours are derived from on the skin. I mapped all the bits a long time ago but didn't write that one down. If they occupy an otherwise unused bit of skin it might be possible to do an alpha of them and make them disappear. I'll look into it.
