You know, now that I think about it, I enjoy, according to my mood:
c.205 (Standard steed)
109F4/G2. these are a gas in knife fights.
109G10 (Nothing better for buff intercepts. Or if you're really feeling mean, get it fast on the deck and shoot through crowds)
La-5FN. This is a fun plane. It's not so good for hunting bombers though.
FW (Still can't get the hang o' it though)
B17 for ackstar duty, B26 for ripping up fields, the bus for when I want to see the scenery up close.

That leaves:
Spit V -- with the HS for the C47, and 4x.303 for the troops, plus nice cornering ability, this is the stratbuster.
Spit IX -- I'm starting to dislike strongly meeting this bird at alt.
109G6 -- nothing wrong with it, I guess.
N1K -- Dunno, something seems odd to me about turning a plane with that many cannons.
P38L -- I should consider the jabo possibilities of this bird.
F4U-1D
P51D Runstang. nuff said. I do miss the glass stab though. That was always the best, you ShVAK the SOB at 800 yards, the stab falls off and the runstang stops running
F4U-1C. Keep your speed up, fly fast, pull the trigger. Don't get hit by more than 50 cannon rounds or you might lose something. Or so it seems. Actually, this isn't a bad choice if you knock the acks down in the city and want to go to town, HS style.

P-38L, the 109F or the F4U-1D, ...and hmmm.... the 205.

P-38 right now is favorite but the 109F is a close, close 2nd.

La5 seems to be my plane. I disagree dinger, LA5 is as good a buff buster as anything. I am starting to like the 109's, mainly the G2. Though I have many kills robbed from me when I fly it...good thing score is irrelevant

It depends on what i think i'll be doing.
For Sweeps/patrols:
LA-5, Spit IX

Furball busting/vultching:
LA-5, 190

Buff Hunting
190 with 30 mm

The only prob with the LA-5 is that it is outclassed in climb performance at high alt.
Im still to give the P-38 a good run. Impressive hi-alt performace, and retains E like nothing else. I'll get flamed for this but i think its overmodelled

I want a spit XIV. Now i would be a dangerous bugger in that

Currently F4U-1C. Means my gunnery will be at least semi-decent at 4x20mm for my shift to the Typhoon

I'll probably have difficulty having fun in the Tiffy.. but I'm damned if I won't give it a go

I get more kills in the Spit IX, but my favorite plane is the 109G-10.

Duma-

Typhoon/F4U-1C, what's the difference?

Both have around 2,100 hp, weigh in around 13,000lbs ready to fly, and are both mediocre turners. I bet you won't see that much difference (other than the better view in the Typhoon).

My favorite:

All around fighter: C205

Outnumbered, but want to be on the offensive: P-51

Base Defence Fighter (`cuz you aren't going to catch anything ;-) Spit Mk V

Also enjoy the P-38 (Because it's a P-38!) and you don't have to trim aileron...I will probably like it more when it recieves the dive breaks ;-)

Me109F: nah, I never go in this one...I guess i must give it a chance...and we'll see

Me190G-2: see above

Me109G-6: I tried it a couple of times. I died both...not very promising LOL

Me109G-10: Very unstable for me. And I simply dont have the gunnery to kill people with the 30mm (cuz I dont hit a sheep with it) nor the 20mm (see above, plus It has much less punch than the 30mm). I do apreciate its climbrate and acceleration...but I cant fly it.

La5FN. Curious I dot like it but I do good runs on it...I do apreciate it as a BnZ-mer, though.

F4U1-C: I Love it. It must be something it its look, those cranked wings...and those 4 hispanos...!!!

F4U1-D: Lepht,man,you can say the C is for girls. Then I better get the dress and panties cuz I cant kill a F***ed fly with those MGs!!!!

C-205: I hate it when I fly it. I hate it more when I fly against it. This damned thing has killed me thousand of times.

N1K2: See above...but this one has killed me less times

B26 and B17...nahhh...bombers...I like ACTION!!! lol

C47: eheheheh I love this one...more than ever with an enemy F4U1-C in my tail saying "hello"

For me the winner is...
