What New Video Game...

I'd like to see an accurate simulation of se....

Umm, ok, something historical...

I'd have to say, for video games? Console systems, I'd like to see a nicely done sword fighting game, with bow and arrow, and lots of weapons to choose from, and senarios like storming castles and manning catapults and battering rams...And work your way up to a knight, even though thats historically in accurate unless you do a great deed.

Thers one for the PS2 where your a samuri and can ride a horse, but it's not as detailed as I'd like..

I think a more sim-like rather than arcadish game based on the MechWarrior series would be pretty cool.

Large scale Civil War rts.  Multiple battles, you manage everything as much or as little as you want.  Similar to Sid Meier's Gettysburg, but with more and better control.  Perhaps also Napolean's campaigns done the same way.

Hypothetical of course. I want a big cluster**** in the med with SS-N-2s streaking over the ocean while Skyhawks and Phantoms tangle with Mig-21s in an epic battle for global supremacy.

I hope that Dangerous waters lives up to its potential, but I don't have a lot of faith in Sonalysts after Fleet Command. Hopefully they learned some valuble lessons about eye candy vs. a detailed database.

But Nielson could be totally right, and it could be the game I'm looking for.

Waterloo: Napoleon's Last Battle and Austerliz are both pretty good games.  They are based on Meier's Gettysberg engine, but I think the interface is much better.

I'd like a total war type of strategic - tactical civil war or napoleon/early 1800's   game with  the formations and the flags etc etc..

First person shooter of Civil War would be awesome, but hard to do...

You could work your way up through the cavalry, artillery, berdans (SP?), infantry, or navy.
