Don King Joins GOP To Support Bush Re-election
Jun 3, 2004 6:55 am US/Eastern

(1010 WINS) (New York) -- 'Only in America' would you find as unlikely a pairing as boxing promoter Don King and the Republican party.

But that's just what happened today in Brooklyn when the G-O-P's "Economic Empowerment Tour" came to town. The tour is a multi-city trip aimed at bringing black voters closer to the Republican agenda.

King had approached party chairman Ed Gillespie and said he wanted to help President Bush grab a greater share of the black vote. That vote went 90 percent to Al Gore in the 2000 election.

King said the Democratic party takes the black vote for granted.

But Democratic leaders say President Bush's economic policies have hurt blacks more than they have helped.

King's next stop on the tour is Miami.

Ill take King over Jesse Jackson or Sharpton any day of the week ... at least King knows he is full of hot air and just entertainment and has never claimed to be a "Black Leader" unlike the other two

When did they make this claim? King is hardly respected by anyone other than criminals or charlatans. Multi-millionaire, but he's still morally bankrupt.

I guess dishonest businessmen are all cut from the same cloth. In any event he's a whole lot smarter than W, he'd make an excellent VP or Secretary or the Treasury...

The GOP can have him, good riddance.

You fellas would get a laugh over his headquarters located just off I95 here in South Florida.  He has a giant (i mean giant) flag with the Don King Crown.. and the words "Only in America" spelled out in giant text..

The irony of the statement is that Don King was convicted of manslaughter ....

Yep "Only in America"

see for yourself.......

Nothing about that POS is humurous. He puts all of his earnings, including titles to his personal property, in his wife's name so the Gov't can't sieze it. The only redeeming value is the tons of money he earns from ripping off boxers, he doles out a sizeable share to charities

Comparing Jesse Jackson to Don King? I mean get real, Don King is up there with J. Gordon Liddy in terms of overall scumbagishness. By those stats, JJ doesn't even make the first cut :lol

JJ's on the second team, with Anne Coulter

Have you ever seen a Don King fight?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
