Initialization Failed
« on: May 19, 2004, 05:57:13 PM »
When I start ah2 it prompts me to select the screen resolution and the frame rate.  No matter what combonation I select I still recieve the same error message:
                              Initialization Failed with -3
                              Main GR3D_ Failed -4

Any suggestions or help would greatly be appreciated
thanks

Ekimo1, hi, i am having the same problem, iys my understanding that it is a graphics issue and should look on my machine for a AGP slot.  i myself do not have an AGP slot, i have a PCI slot and am currently seeking advice on how to advance from here.  i hope some of this helps you.  if i find out any more on the subject i will post it.

you'll need a new video card.  That card isn't strong enough for AHII

EMACHINES T3100:
PIII - 1 Gb
Anaheim 3 MoBo (133FSB)
Radeon 9100-PCI-128 Mb
The Latest Catalyst Drivers
XP Pro - SP1
256 Mb Ram (Max)
Sound Blaster 16 Bit
On board sound and video are both disabled.

Aside from being out dated it runs great.  I'm having the same problem listed at the beginning of this post.  AH1 runs with no problems.  Frame rates average between 20 and 55 fps.  Any ideas on a fix?

I am not sure that will help him.  I am beginning to think PCI cards may not work at all, but that is speculation at this point in time.
I would like to hear from anyone who hasa PCI card working in AH2.
