I think at best it will be like Lebanon - at worst a Muslim Theocracy, am trying to think of one democratic Middle Eastern - ie Arab Muslim country - maybe Egypt? Can one count Turkey - probably not too secular.

Maybe.

But what if all you naysayers are wrong?

What tune will you be singing then?
In light of this, I mean:

Quote
we can just sit back and watch him fail
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

So the rest of the world does not care to help Iraq simply because President Bush is in power? What a concept.

You mean the same powers that drafted the "last chance" resolution regarding Iraq? The same powers that we have asked to help all along?

LOL

The Point is that Chirac is a hypocrite.

That's not true NUKE.

The rest of the world didn't get involved (except UK) because the war was illegal. If there is a UN mandate then help from the rest of the world will pour in.

We knew they didn't have WMD...there were teams of authorities searching without restriction for a very long time. Dr. Blix reports were consistant about there being no evidence of WMD in Iraq.

What i suspect you are really angry about is that Chirac has more balls, more insight and more intellect in his left butt cheek than the entire Bush* family tree.

There will be a transfer of power on June 30. There will be free elections to follow.

What are you going to say if 2-3 years from now Iraq HAS a relatively smooth-running elective government and is making good strides towards becoming one of the most progressive countries in the Middle East?

Ill say: well done Iraqies.

Im sure if Independent Iraqi goverment will apply Russia for Help, Puttin will shine like  candle and will provide it.

Since IS is trying to make private bussines in Iraq, all money sent to Iraq are send to US.

US is so proud that they will not allow other to participate on free trade in Iraq and you still expect some financial help... IMAO

It will be interesting what happen after Iraqi get power back.

I think first think on their to do list will be.. "Who can help us to provide security overhere" .. coz contemporary occupants sux more that ever...

But its point less to speak about it, we will see it in few days.

Rained on Bush's parade?

France has little more impact on the world than St. Croix.

Just some poorly educated people vomiting out what they've been told to think by Fox news.
