Changed back up to 1024 from 512 textures and the everything was invisible.

I deleted the contents of the cache folder reload textures everything looks fine.

Except that when ever I click on the video settings button on the clipboard I CTD.

Repeated 5 times each time the same.

Batz i had the same effect except instead of invisible all the hills were black and as you say CTD every time you click on the video setup tab.

Cure.

Delete the AH2 cache folder.

Start AH but go to the video setup option at first screen (before you log on) and setup to use 512 again here.

Mine was ok after this.

Using a 9800 pro with Omega drivers.

When set at 1024 i noticed the video memory maximum, and used matched exactly ay 117.1 mb.

I guess the card ran out of available memory.

When I change max textures from video settings on the clipboard a pop ask if I want to re load the cache, I click yes everything reloads but looks like this:

I exit the game empty the cache folder and reload @ 1024. Game runs fine, everything looks good except at this point when ever I click on the video settings button on the clipboard (while ingame) I get a ctd.

I exit out reenter and change back to 512 textures load everything is fine.

My Vid card has 256 ram and when at 1024 its uses about 150 meg....

Dxdiag in my sig.........

I got the same whenever I switched texture size going down from 256 to 128, going up from 256 to 512 or 1024.

was able to fly around and shoot people like this as well, when I changed settings in flight.  only got dumped once on the 4th time I tryed to change settings from I think it was 512 to 1024 texture size.

Was able to change in flight 3 times and still fly and shoot people down. reminded me of the old AW days when some tards would fly with out plane graphics.....

I was able to get it back working fine each time though, by either dumping plane cache or just reinstalling the patch40 (in each texture size setting)

fr has dropped a good bit as well.

patch 38 and 39   fr60 + in fighting furball with a few drops if heavy action   normal flight 83+ most often in 90's

vid mem avail:62.7  used: 52.2 when using 512 texture size (this changes most - or + depending on texture size ) not much more affects this I have noticed

is way up from patch 39 where it stayed about 1/2
