It apears a fire gets satrted on my plane but i can't see it....

damage shows main fuel hit evertime this happens ... but has black smoke like an oil hit...

yet there is no flame.... few moments after takeing the said damage the wing pops off like there was a fire there.... i assume it's not drawing fire on my FE

check the jug bug threads. it happens in all jugs.

You know, come to think of this, Sometime I don't see explosions on planes.... you tear em up real good...the start going down and "poof" they're gone. They just dissapear into the ozone. there's not that little fireball when they die/ destruct. Seems pretty random to me though.

I've been hit in the engine twice in a P47-D-25, and both times it caused a fire (well, lots of black smoke with no visible flames), and I exploded. I caused a fire on one nme plane (p51D), but I could see flames around his wing root. I watched him heading off before disappearing suddenly followed by a kill report. SO: 1) jugs catch fire too easily right now and are flying molotov cocktails. No doubt this will be speedily addressed.  2) flames from fire are down around the wing root where they are hard or impossible to see from inside the cockpit. With the absence of that real life toasting-toes feeling we have to guess from the type and amount of smoke that it's time to get out of the plane right quick and walk home.

This happend to me in the p38 today .... not like when the jug was easily damaged....

My 38 took a good  soild hit ... the smoke,  it looks like fire, except no flame

There was a fuel hit and a radiator hit .. but i had black smoke as well, and no oil damage ..... few moments later the wing falls off like there was a fire...

So i assume it's just not drawing the fire on my FE

I see fire on other planes when I shoot them sometimes

Yep.....has happened to me a couple of times too....thought it was a bug....

Got fuel hit message but could see black smoke over my 38s wing like an oil hit, about 2 to 3 mins later...crunch....the wing falls off...

Posted about it got told it was a fire......think HTC could put a messsag like the check6 one saying "You are on fire.....eject ...eject!" lol......or maybe "bail..bail" whatever...:D
