La-5FN: excellent job!

Flathat,

The Bf 109G-10 was a messer one step away from the Koenig    Add that methanol-water concoction and you have a LW plane that is quite formidable, and fast.  An excellent vertical-dogfighter.  It is, unfortunately, a very misunderstood plane, since it does not handle well in the traditional, full-throttle, BnZ role.  Keep the throttle low on the dive, though, letting the plane climb by its wings, and you have a fighter that turns BnZ into a tight, surgically-precise technique

Sort of Off-Topic:

Has anybody built a scale model of an La-5FN or an La-7?  I prefer 1/48 scale, and the only kits I can find are Hobbycraft.  Are those any good?  Any other brands?
