It's improving

was hard to see, maybe you need LW letters and numbers?
If you need them, download them quick. I will delete them tomorrow again.
http://www.onpoi.net/ah/pics/users/29_1087492195_ttf_bff.zip
And check your colours.
And at least that yellow seems not to be correct.
Have a look here.

Right click on the colour and copy. Then you can open them in Photoshop and use the eyedropper tool. But i guess you know that.
Go on.

I reworked the camo colors on the fuselage using the RLM chips that Ecke directed me to, and fixed the "10". I did nothing to the upper wings at all yet, but I did a lot of small things to the underside. Here's round three:

This Gelbe 10? It’s actually a D-13.

You may want to clear it with Pyro. He’s has let other ac be skinned even though they are not the correct model.

Try this book....

A few tips…

The underside panel lines are way to "bold". I suspect you have an issue of getting the lines to look good on the underside and on the darker top.

There’s several ways the do this. The easiest is to make the under side panel / rivet lines separate layers so you can adjust those independently.

You can also create another layer of your panel / rivet lines and change them to white. Put this layer (these layers) underneath the darker panel/lines rivets. Offset them by 1 pixel back and down.

Now to get these "hi-lites" to line up you will need several layers. One for the right wing one for the left etc... This way they can all be offset in the right directions.

Also again to deal with the lighter underside you will need to have separate layers for the underside panel / rivet layer.

You will have many layers of panel / rivet lines but this way you can adjust the color / opacity every part of the ac independently.

Edbert, you asked for a critique, but with the recent change in colors I don't think it needs much more critique.

 A couple of things though:

* the panel lines are a little bit too pronounced on the belly side

* you might want to adjust the colors of the gunport grooves and the number "10" a little bit

Other than that it looks like its pretty much ready for submission, after some weathering applied.

I'll definitely fly it.  :)

Is there a historical reason behind the blue-colored gear, though?

They were bare metal on that particular plane, probably a field replacement. There are records of MANY long nose 190s having the extension plug (where the defense-of-the-reich stripes were) in bare metal. There were also leading edges, horizontal stabs, and wingtips in bare metal. 1945 was not a pleasant time to be in the Luftwaffe :D

I cannot find the spinner anywhere in the artwork. Anyone found it on the 190D?

Anyhow, other than that I think I'm about done. One thing I cannot figure out is why the rivets that are there in the skin do not show up in the screenshots. There are there in the game, it must be the game generating the BMPs then me converting them to JPGs that washes them out.

Anyhow here are some examples of the skins themselves, plus a last batch of actual screenshots.

I'm going to send it in to HTC and see if Nate can tell me where the spinner is.

  Damn, that thing looks like a down 'n dirty grunt...just itchin' to kill somethin'.

I noticed the stripes back near the tail are painted-over by the camouflage.  Is that because the field crew hastily painted it that way near the end of the war?

P.S.: I like that the blue undercarriage is now white.
