Just wondering -

I'm supposed to be redding/blacking out when I turn a very few degrees off initial direction? Is this a game balance/design thing, or am I missing something here and flying like a muppet?

Icenine,

Black outs are not a factor of how far you turn but how hard.  If you blacking out you are pulling to hard in the turn for the speed your at.  If you are not used to hi fedelity flight sims it takes awhile to get used to the flight model in sims like Aces High and Warbirds.  Watch how hard you pull through a turn and mind your speed when entering a turn.  The faster you are going the easier it is to pull enough "Gs" to black out.  Practice offline and you'll get the hang of it or ask any of the guys in the arena with an AT at the end of the handle and they will be glad to help you out.

Thanks.
The weird thing is this - if I drop the throttle at all, the plane goes soft and dumps after about 45 degrees of turn. If I leave it high, I Gloc almost instantly. There seems to be no happy medium so far.
Maybe I'm having trouble with perceived speed, IE it feels like I don't have any, so I react roughly as low speed requires/allows, thereby bleeding what speed I do have.

Maybe I just need more practice.
Thanks again for the help Sharky.

Ice,

No problem.  As far as reducing your speed, be very careful of throwing away speed, it is to hard to come by when you need it    And your right when you get them slow the planes handle very poorly.  Keep pacticing you'll get it.
