Why not have Ch1 squelch default? Then those who want to be on it unsquelch it. See'ing as there are only a few ppl ever tuned to 200. Or maybe the reason is everyone hates ch1 ( which I highly think is not the case since ch1 is usually very lively). I know it is the same thing as just tuning to chan 200, but this way might be easier since ch1 has been around for so long. Thoughts, opinions? Seems like a lame topic, but it must be important enough for HT to have disabled it.

I have always been for this idea. I think this way the people who can't stand the sight of Ch1 for the few moments its up before they have a chance to squelch it can be spared the pain of seeing it at all. And those who like to talk on Ch1 and interact with the ALL of the players can do so with out having to wonder if they are tuned to Ch200.

I am also noticing already an over usage if you will of the Salute command. There is a rash of "Self Saluters" already. That really bothers me to no end and I think I may just leave because of this. Can I squelch this?

Pardon me for being a wise guy here but I am trying to make a point of how silly this has turned out to be.

Like I said in a previous thread, HTC should foster a strong community through moderators and good atmosphere. Instead, they have divided the community by 3 and haven't fixed the problem, the poor attitudes will transfer to channel 2.

I can't wait to see the AH Conventions in a couple years...

Great idea for the kids playing too! Start the game squelched then parnets don't need to sit and squelch individual names as they go on thier rants.

I think everyone is blowing this way out of proportion. Within about 2 weeks, you will end up seeing the majority of players on channel 200 that want to talk. Relax and enjoy the game.

Oh well, the sun will come up tomorrow. Unless, of course, the sun suddenly goes supernova. If thats the case, I don't think you will need to worry about channel 1. Hell, you won't have to worry about anything anymore.
