With last weeks arrival of AH2, we begin a new chapter in Aces High Events. This Wednesday will see the first running of an AH2 snapshot. While we are lacking most of the needed terrains, many of the current designs should be adaptable to our limited terrain selection. With that in mind, this Wednesday nights snapshot will be
"Operation Pedestal". Please review the MOTD for all revisions and any last minute changes.
Historical Background
May 1942 saw fearsome action in the Mediterranean when the royal Navy launched Operation Pedestal.
The Eagle, Victorious and the Indomitable were to escort a Malta bound convoy. Sea Hurricanes and Martlets and Fulmars made up the Air Cover for the Convoy. On the 12th over 100 bomber and Torpedo Aircraft converged upon the Convoy and the Fleet Air Arm accounted for thirty enemy aircraft destroyed.
But It was a costly battle, only five of the merchantman made Malta and the Eagle was succumbed to a U-boat.
To make this Event playable we will be adding Macchi 202’s for the Axis. This is a Walkon event, no registration required!
Roll time is 10:00 pm est in the SEA but please be early so we can get underway on time.
