Are video settings affecting how GVs are spoted? Can a low terrain detail make easier to spot GVs under trees?

The range at which GVs appear is directly linked to the ground detail settings.

I.E. If you can't see the trees, you can't see the gvs.

Like Ben said, the ground detail range determines object draw distances.

Sine GVs icons show from 1.5k yards, it is best to set the ground detail range to at least 1.5 miles when you are GV hunting.

It is recommended that one uses SHIFT+F1 and full 3 miles ground detail range for dedicated GV hunting.
