I am assuming that you are talking about Roger Wilco...

First of all you should give us some clues and state your problem more specifically.

What doesn't work?

What happenes when you try to start the program?

Does it run at all?

Are you getting error messages?
If so, what error messages?

Are you on a network or on a dialup connection?

What kind of system are you running? (CPU, Soundcard, etc.)

The more info you give, the easier it is for other people to help you.

Sorry about that. when I try to use it nothing happens.Dont think I'm using it right.Could be that I'm not "tuning"to right channels, can't hear anyone just flight sounds.I have a PII400 ATIRage pro 3Dcard Sound Blaster with A3Ddriver installed. But I truly think it is the opreator not the equipment If you could "walk"me through the steps, from starting it to talking that would be very helpful. I know this can be annoying so Thanks ALot.

If you are trying to use it on AH I believe you need to start it BEFORE login to AH.  Whenever I alt-tab out of AH and login to RW it doesn't work either. It SAYS I'm connected to my squadmate but we can't communicate.
To use RW all you need is the I.P. (that group of 4 numbers) of the "host". Click on "join" and enter the sequence. Hit ok or enter and it will connect you.  If you are serving as host you create a channel and then notify your friends of your I.P.. It will be displayed by RW when you create a channel-just write it down and pass it on.

Packrat,
I'm new to RW too. I made ALL the mistakes that one could make with it too. Do you have ICQ? If so, I would be happy to walk you through the steps. My ICQ #49251505. On duty now and won't get off until 2300 central time. I can help after that time or on Wednesday (off all day).

Packrat: You should verify that your mic is working. There's a little test routine built into RW. If you can hear your own voice during that test, your front end of RW works fine and the error is either on your buddy's side or in between. Try to hook up with different people. Sometimes RW just won't connect you to a specific computer but will work fine with another.

Sorry but I can't offer you  more detailed help here cause I am at work and don't have RW installed on this PC.

Ok, there are a couple of things that you have to do to get rw working with Aces High.

First, there is a text file in the roger wilco folder that contains all the names of the programs that rw works with. It works with some games without adding them to the list, but Aces High needs to be added.
I believe the name of the file is games.txt.

You have to open up this file, and add Aces High to the list of games.

It should look something like this

"Aces High" 1 3000

Just stick it at the bottom of the list, exit and save it.

Ok, once you have dont that. You have to find someone else that is using rw to connect to them. Get on aces high and find someone that is using it. Get their Ip#.
Exit out of aces high.
Start rw and pick join session, put in that persons ip#.
Start aces high again..and presto..you can talk to them.

Personaly I use a key to talk, using the voice activation mode doesnt work real well.

The key i have mine set to is alt.
(I dont think anything in ah uses it)

Good luck..any other questions you can e-mail me directly...

Have fun!
