Flight model is becoming great... when number of planes start to increase, I firmly believe that publishing some kind of cockpit procedures and operational speeds would be nice.

Our friends at HITECHCREATIONS have all the original WW2 aircrew manuals and NACA statistics...please make some of the info public so we can professionalize this sim a little bit over competence...

Well, from what ive seen so far what do you need manuals for?? ALL i see going on is low level furballin.  YOU dont nothing for that! I thought ACES HIGH would be different! Gentlemen if this is what you think a flight Combat sim should be,why look for a new one? This is what they all are!

chester its not the games its the players. The players are the ones doing the low level furballs not the game. Aces High has alot of things that make it different. Would be nice to see supply trains running in the canyons sometime. Befun to shoot or bomb.

I`ve already had more fights at high altitude in the short time AH has been in beta than in a year of Warbirds. If all your seeing is low level furballs maybe you should climb after takeoff-not mindlessly aim for the closest enemy airfield.

I agree! IT is the players. It is the same where ever you fly.I've flown them all. They all all the same. The developers are delivering good software. But its as if they sell a Monolopy set with no rules.Players come to the game table.Take a marker, and do what ever they want.KOOL! Boring! Very boring! There needs to be structure. The players can do a great deal to bring that about. They dont want to.........PS> It's  sad thing when you think about it..so much possible...so little had

Dont know much about low level furballing, but I generally always climb to 15-20k, so I can bank some E.

Question.  Where is it written that air combat must take place at 30,000 feet?

From what I understand, almost all the Eastern Front and Pacific front carrier aircraft all fought at or around 10,000 feet.

The 30,000 feet combat was only because the USAAF bombers were flying at that altitude to try and stay safe from German fighters.

I know this may be unpleasant to think of, but untill we get groups of bombers doing the war winning, we won't see much high alt flying.  Even then over half the people online couldn't give a rip about winning the war, they just want to shoot another fighter down in exciting air to air engagments.
