Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day!!!! Lord knows I earned this Day!

I have 3 children. 2 Daughters 21 and 15...*Hearing Fathers out there shivering*

And a Son who is 5.  *and Fathers are thinking "What was he thinking?"*

Tried to space my children out a bit so I wouldn't be broke all the time..Hell that didn't work!

But Fathers Day does have a special meaning for me. 2 years ago , on Fathers Day, while I was watching my Son Jake who was 3 at the time and working in the backyard trying to get the dam swimming pool pump working right. Jake was peddeling around on his tricycle in the backyard.
Well the pump was pissssing me off and I decided to sit back, near the deep end, and smoke a cig.  Not a minute later I hear a "SPLASH"  no Jake, no Tricycle.... I screamed "Nooooo" and dove into the pool towards the shallow end.  The first thing I found was his tricycle... with ungodly force I threw it out of the pool and halfway across the yard...looking down I seen air bubbles and 2 lil eyes looking up.  To this day I don't know how I got Jake and I out of the pool...all a blur.   I squeezed him and he popped like a water balloon and he started crying...which had me crying... but knowing he was crying made me assured that he was alright.  I aged 10 years in a spand of a few seconds...
If I hadn't sat down to smoke I would have never have heard the splash and would have lost my Son.
To this Day he still calls me his "Super Hero Rescuer"  and he calls me Day... Day? I asked him why Day? He told me "You can't have a Day without a Sun"  He misunderstood Son and Sun... But it makes me feel dammm good that I'm a Day.

So all Happy Fathers Day!   <<>>

I probably won't even see my dad today....  He went out fishing, and the boat was full, but as long as he's enjoying himself....

Free's up more time for the sub-standard but enthralling-nonetheless Quonset Air Show.

My 16 year old daughter just came in as I am surfing the bbs, wrapped her arms around me, kissed me on the cheek and said "Happy fathers day Daddy".

My day is starting out just fine :D

nope, but sleeping in, and breakfast in bed wouldn't be out of line.

**warning**-  at about 5 yrs they will want to make this breakfast themselves (instead of just helping mom bring it in).  you need to make sure you have a big glass of water handy because you are going to have to choke a few bites down until they leave the room.  on the upside they can usually make something edible by the time they turn 7 or 8.
