Good days and bad days

Ever have one of them days where you can't buy a kill? AH is so much like golf it scares me. Just when you think you're "getting it" along comes one of *those* days that humbles you :D

Gota love it and believe anything over 2 hours a day will create insanity :)

That was a good little fight in beta that went on for a couple of hours Etch.  I ran hot and cold. Killed 5 on one sortie, get killed without firing a shot on the next two. Do well, suck, do well, suck.

I'd love to be able to find fights like that every night.  Got into a turn fight in a Pony with mutley flying a Nikky and someone in a La 5. Good times, channel 100 was goodnatured howdies and salutes.

Hell even flew a 38 and a G10  :(

Constantly happens to me.

I had a good day last week.  :)

Seriously, like anything else some days our timing is off, coordination, reaction time all change day to day.

Yea that was good fights last night. I got a little tired of that ack though. Was good to see you up, and to fly about 15 seconds of a furball with ya :) On the bright side - I don't think I ran out of ammo or fuel all night

G'day from Australia,

Yes, I agree, it can be like that eh. Do really well, then die really well. Shoot down 5 aircraft in 3 minutes, then not kill one for two hours

Alhough I am new to AH, I am not new to flight sims. I have been flying them and shooting things for about 12 years now, starting with an Amiga 500 and Elite etc...those were heady days. MS flightsim looks nice....what...no guns...BAHH.

Anyway, flying for me is almost always a Kamikazi affair...or so it seems. Simply get behind me and I will die cheap. I never need to take more than 25% fuel, i would never use it:)  I spend a lot of time driving around in tanks now and have done well against aircraft. Shot down two in a row with the hull MG on an Osti and one with same on Panzer IV...I would never had thought it possible.

Some people has a natural instinct in (virtual) flying, mantaining an high SA in a very natural way; I do not  belong to this group; flying in AH request to me a high concentration and application of all my senses.
Of course in days when I'm tired or have my mind distracted by other things ...I fly like a total dweeb
In the other days ...oh well, things are not that better

I think a lot of it is concentration. Some nights I just seem "zoned in" and can do no wrong. Others, as you say, can't buy a kill.

I do this for relaxation but some nights I just have a lot on my mind and just can't seem to focus. A beer usually helps.:D
