If field capture is part of the game, then folks will want to take fields.
How is this accomplished?
1. Surprise or
2. Superior equipment or
3. Superior tactics or
4. Superior numbers
When number 1 works, also known as a milkrun, the field is won. More often than not, the raid is detected and others alerted to the area of concern. This leaves us with 2-4.
Number 2 has no real meaning in the MA. We all have the same planes available to us, thus leaving 3-4.
Number 3 is a rare beast. Most MA folk do not have the time, inclination, the strategic thought process nor charisma to pull this off.
This leaves us with number 4 as the only viable solution to field capture in the MA.
It sucks to be on the recieving end, but there is no silver bullet fix.
...and who really cares. It is almost always possible to find the sweet spot where a fun little fight is brewing. It ends eventually, but so must all good things.
