Icons in Soldier Mode

I noticed last night,   Then when you bail and become a Man/Soldier on the ground,   Your Icon is about 40 feet in the air above you.

Sometimes we assemble in Man-mode for a Squad Meeting or Cerimony.   Last night it was impossible to tell who was who.

In AH1 the Icons appeared right above each person.  

Is this something that could be adjusted so that the Icon is right above the soldier again????

Another thing,  

Has anyone noticed with Patch 3 you can climb up on any Inclined surface??     Iv been up on the Water tower and if your careful you can climb the Radar Antena.
