I just tried to reboot, and I get nuthing.  The power seems to be ok, but the monitor is not being awaken by the computer.

Use your emergancy backup startup floppy to boot, or borrow one from someone  running the same OS who's made one.

If bootup is not seeking floppy before hard drive, you need to hit whatever key gets you into boot options and set floppy as first option, then boot with startup floppy in the drive.

If you can get deep enuf into the boot that you have options on loading the operating system, hit the right key (Del, f8 whatever) and try loading the OS in safe mode.

Sounds like you might need to reflash the bios, if so, check your manual on how this is done.

Good luck

Take the battery out of your motherboard to reset BIOS, or pull the reset jumper if you have one. if that doesn't do it you have a hardware failure, most likely in the mobo.

Your BIOS is corrupted.  You can try to clear the CMOS or possibly flash the BIOS to resolve the issue, but you may have to RMA your motherboard.

fyi, it was a corrupt bios.  I flashed the previos bios and brought it back to life.  It was a little funky for a few days, but all seems well now.  hmmm.
