Pilot score bug?

I was looking at my score and saw the following:
o Kills, fighters: 6
o Deaths: 3

o Kills per Deaths: 1.2

Am I missing some factor in the equation?  Or is this wrong?

In VF-17 I believe we actually add +1 to the death part of the equation (because fact is, if you consider yourself still in the running, you are actually on your 4th life).  So your equation would be 6/3+1 or 3:2 k/d ratio.  Other sources may not use this equation though.  In the eyes of the AH arena you probably do have a 2:1 k/d ratio.

HiTech: By your formula, my K/D ratio should be

42/(9+1)=4.2 (based on 42 kills, and nine fighter deaths)

If number of deaths is also supposed to include deaths while flying bombers, the ratio becomes

42/(9+2+1)=3.5 (9 deaths as fighter pilot, 2 as bomber pilot)

In either case, the Pilot Ranks page shows I have a K/D of 2.4706.  Still don't understand where this number comes from.
