Installation Problem
« on: June 21, 2004, 02:30:52 PM »
Ok, The download program is supposed to be 84Mb, according to the website. When I try to download it, my download manager shows 80Mb. Once the download is complete, it is only 78.5Mb and when I try to install AH2 I get an initialization error. Big surprise! So, any ideas on what is going on? Thanks for any help.

Are you trying to "Open" the remote file?  That will not work.  You have to "Save" the file to your hard drive.

It is saved to my computer, but the file size is 78.5Mb. I've downloaded it three times now, and always end up with 78.5Mb. I'm guessing it's my internet connection(dial-up), but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something easy. thanks.

Have you tried a download manager, such as GetRight (http://www.tucows.com)  It helps a lot with dial-up connections as it can accurately resume a download when you lose a connection.
