Terrain Maps for Aces HIGH???
« on: January 14, 2000, 01:51:00 PM »
Howday all,

Well got a request for ya, I play Warbirds Also and one nice resource that you have avaible is InFlight maps or printable maps of the terrain showing were airfields and which direction there facing and were structures are located at,, etc….  For the HA arena there is even maps were oil fields are at, etc…   Does there exist for AH, maps that provide this information about were airfields are at and shows were the Hanger is, the AA is, etc…  Also, I ran across in AH what looked like Oil Fields and Barracks, would be nice to know were those are located on the MAP.

Just a thought,

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to the FAQ http://www.bombergroup.com/maps/ahmaps.htm
These are maps there. glars maps are there as well as others by Indian.....I believe.  Sadly I can't get glars maps to open for me.  I have Acroread 3.0...guess it ain't enough.
Any way, these maps will give you "typical" base setup.  But no direction or such.  Since this is still a Beta, I submit you make copies and modify them to your needs.

Kken I check the maps with Reader 3 on PC and Mac before releasing them and they seemed ok.

Are you trying to see the maps using the plugin in your web browser or are you actually downloading the pdf and then running the Reader program and opening the pdf from in there?

It's kind of strange though cos I don't think I've had anyone not be able to open them in the couple of years I've been doing them - just some printer problems that getting Reader 4 solved.

Minotaur what is it that happens when you try to open it?

Do you have another pdf file on your hard disk or on a game/magazine CD maybe that you can try to open to see if it's maybe some setting on your machine?

I've just rechecked by downloading my pdf and it opens fine for me by running either Reader3 or Reader4 and choosing the file with the Open menu command.

Glars;

Funny thing happened.  As I read your latest post,  I heard a weird noise.  The noise turned out to be my arnold sucking wind.

Lo and behold!  I started Acrobat3 first and then opened the file.  It works just fine.  Sorry to have troubled you.

It seemed that Acroboat3 could not locate the file in "My BriefCase", by a double click on the file itself.

Thanks again!
