bollocks. There is always a ruck in goal and in whistle isn't blown. Who was that person who said England would lose and it would be contravertial? I'm sure someone posted that on this bbs

There is one 'O' in loses. Sorry to be pedantic. But I hate that.
As for 'Engerland' well as per the usual script. They lost the first match, redeemed themselves against a weaker team and tonight will scrape through. They do that in every tournament. They may win the quarter final and go through to the semi's or go out in the quarters. Either way they lose at some point because Beckham or whoever misses a penalty or the opposition gets a goal from a dodgy decision or an offside goal.
It's always the same. England is nothing if not predictable.
Oh and the hooligans will riot again, get arrested and claim:
1 They were nowhere near the riot
2 The police started it
3 They police beat them
4 They are completely innocent.
But good luck England anyway.
Frightenly accurate I think. I think I should go into the fortune telling business.
I have to say as an almost unbiased Irishman

(with an English brother in law and a couple of nephews good enough maybe to play for England, although I'd prefer they declared for Ireland).

that England did not play well enough to win.
The goal was 'route one' basic stuff, all credit to Owen for taking it. But you won't win matches with that tactic at this level.
The loss of Rooney killed it for England. He was the team in this tournament. England would have won with him on the pitch.
What happened to Beckham? That imposter was not him. Somebody call the police!
That goal, I have to say the goalkeeper was held down by an English player. Blame him for the loss. Cambell's goal was good but his teammate cost England the game. You can't blame the ref. He was a bit pedantic being Swiss and all but he was technically correct. I can say that as I'm not thinking with my heart.
I now predict Portugal will win the tournament and England will console themselves with the thought of what might have been. But hey at least the French went out, to Greece:confused:
