Not really, it was Norsemen and vikings who first discovered the continent, but they were not from norway, at that time they originated from all over what is modern day norther Europe. There is also a big debate over wether or not the vikings ever colonized the americas, most evidence points that the celts were the earliest known settlers.

silly people the Indians first discovered America,  The only problem was their immigration policies sucked.  Then as a final insult someone made them move to Cleveland and relative obscurity allowing the stupid euros to make outlandish claims.

I did, I caught several small fiesty bass all at around 1lb. and a parasite ridden 3lb. female.  had a few large gar strike but was unable to set the hook on any of them.  what I did get was a massive sunburn.  The sun was relentless and it was 100F+/42c+ but we had fun.

We released them all,  One of my friends caught a nice 8lb Bass that I would have mounted.  It looked bigger than 8 lbs but since it was a female he released it.  I very seldomly eat freshwater fish.  The taste is very bland.

We have troops in Basra and in Afganistan, according to our population (4,3mill inhabitants) we is not very well visible.

But thank you for telling us that we dont support, we just aswell could draw those few back then.

About ww2 there was fiting in norway for 2 months untill surrendered, and the norwegina (most of them) was fiting the germans (silently, and with weapons) all along under the 5years occupation.
Ofcurse everyone is glad that war was finished by the help of the US, but its tireing to see that beeing used against us everytime there is a discussion about anything.

Beside have you forgot all the help the Norwegians gave US under the cold war ? (radarstations, accsess to the northsea,Barentsea, pictures of new Soviet airplanes, Intelligence, winter training for your troopers etc..... )

It all goes two ways And Im AM very gratful for the help under ww2.
I am a Norwegian eating my fish, and still let my wife mess me around in stupid shops...

Why is there even a card labelled "we saved your arnold in WWII"?

There is a bit of twisted history there imho.

The war started in Europe in september of 1939.

The American forces didn't even start to arrive until January of 1942. 2.5 years into the war in Europe.

At this time the focus for the Germans was the Russian front, where they were having a pretty rough time of it.

The US did not win the war single handedly, for all of us.

I will say though, that when the US entered the war in europe, it cemented the outcome.

Don't take this reply as an attack, it's not meant to belittle anyone or any country. It's just a couple of facts that I think need to be pointed out.

to those who gave me the freedom to reply.

It's not twisted at all though it may be slightly slanted. ;)

Run this scenario through your twistometer:

The U.S. stays neutral throughout the ENTIRE war.

In Europe you'd have 2 options it seems (you hint at it yourself):

1: (The less likely of the 2) Russia defeats Germany and annexes Europe.

2: Germany eventually defeats Russia then focuses on Britain with it's full force and captures the Isle within a year.

Of course .... those are just "what-ifs."

Better to stick with the "what happened."

The U.S. geared up and joined the fight after the Japanese pissed them off. As a result, the Axis powers were defeated.

A similar result from what happened 25 years earlier (except replace Pearl Harbor with Lusitania). :aok

I'm surprised they are screwing with the Turks. These guys don't want the Turks to get ahold of them.
