Only 20 fps when i was at a gv battle near 64.

later i played il2aep it seemed all much smoother.

the graphics are not worth the 20 frames a second though.

what would it have been for people with lesser systems.

:(

heck I'm lower than both of you and I get consistent 40 to 80 framerate unless alot of action going on like 15+ planes over smoking fields with lot ack smoke etc then it drops to like maybe 25 to 30...very seldom do I get near 20 if at all. that is with 256 texture  and sliders near 1/2 way thru all settings. If I increase to 512 meg textures only slight drop of framerates by 5 to 10 fps and I drop into the high teens if screen is alot of action as mentioned above. Also near same when on ground in GVs

amd 3200
nforece2 mobo
512mb corsair twinx
ati9500 pro 128m

Steady 100 above 5000' agl - dips to 80's in busy fight
lowest frame -  on the deck, massive furball, smoke everywhere high 50's to low 60's

seems you ought to get at least as good as that

Bug,

My specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (clocked at 1.7Ghz)
1GB 266Mhz DDR RAM (PC2100)
ATI Radeon 9800 XT (256MB RAM) w/ optimized
Omega Drivers 2.5.51 (based on Catalyst 4.6 drivers)
EPOX EP=8RDA MOBO (Nvidia NForce-2 chipset)
Viewsonic 17PS monitor at 1024x768 x 100Hertz

I get widely varying framerates based on one of two settings in game. I choose MAX DETAIL and MAX DISTANCE slider positions  and Shift-F4 (ground detail view) when JABOing or GVing and framerates will be in the 20-25 area. I choose MAX PERFORMANCE and MINIMUM DISTANCE sliders when dogfighting with Shift-F3 for minimal horizon detail and I get 73FPS consistently.

While it will still take some time for HTC to get everything right on the graphics, my "mission" determination of graphics quality in-game is fairly easy to modify to get the framerate I need. After a JABO run, I change all the sliders and settings while flying to convert to A2A mode. It's not a huge task. See if that helps ?
