If you really want fluke to hit...try bouncing single hook diamond jig off sandy bottom, with squid strip on the hook. Fluke are more aggressive than you might think.
I'm going to sea in July then in august south of BI, to the dumps, then to montauk for tuna and anything else, then I'll be surfcasting the rest of the time back home.
