Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Museum (Pics included)
« on: June 29, 2004, 02:21:45 PM »
I went here (Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center right next to Dulles Airport) back in April, but never posted a few of the pics I took.  This is a truly remarkable place, enormous in size and filled with many aircraft from the SR-71, to the Enola Gay, and even the space shuttle Enterprise.

As you walk in you are greeted with these pointed right at you

Its a great place, and I highly recommed visiting it.  I have several other pictures if you would like me to post them.

Has anyone been there lately?  I live about 1 hour away but I hear the lines are hella long because of security.  Does it still take 2 hours to get in?

ra, I went on a weekday and there was absolutely no line at all.  I walked straight in and did what I wanted.  In fact, there couldnt have been more than 200 people there, and since its so big it seemed like nobody at all.  All security did was check my camera bag and sent me on my way, took no time at all.
