Saitek X45 Help
« on: June 29, 2004, 01:47:33 AM »
I bought a Saitek X45 a few months ago and I have loved the stick up until about a week ago.  For some reason whenever I try to play any of the games I have (tried this with World War II online, IL2FB, Aces High, and Warbirds) the stick is jerking to the left sporadically. It's like someone is randomly smacking the stick. I have tried setting my deadband in the games and installing the latest drivers and everything else I could think of but it hasn't helped any. I checked to see if maybe some dust or something got in the stick that might be on the sensors or something but I don't know if I should take this thing apart because I am not the most mechanically inclined person in the world. I don’t know if you have ever had reports of anything like this happening before but if you have can you please let me know what I might do to fix it?

Hello Embark,
I have the same stick and have had those same problems in the past. Usually after I have calibrated it on the game and on the software it usually fixed it. I don't recommend taking it apart because there is a series of springs, which like to fling out once the bottom is removed. If the problem still persists you might try buying a can of electrical compressed air. You can find it at a local best buy or office max.

Sorry I couldn’t help more good luck!
