Straffe one? Hee heee hee. Better stay below radar and icon rendering altitude if you desire any success. That thing looks like it can defend itself ten times over. That great big ole honking ICON you plane carries around with it will give the saly sailors one big ole early warning and allow them to be prepared.

As for attacking the Capital ships.  A lone Level bomber is going to have a very hard time.  A lone Dive Bomber (SBD, VAL,P-38J/L)  should have good success if they come in High, If they follow the 70 Degree dive angle, and remember to use the Dive brakes lol. Torpedo Planes may also have good luck if they are truly skimming the water.  would be great to come in at say 10 feet and oops clipped by a Rouge wave, game over man.  Any mid altitude attacks are going to be in deep doo doo.

Pyro posted the news about the PT boat a week ago.

PT boat armament:
  • Four .50 caliber machineguns (two mountings of two machineguns...those 50gallone drum looking things beside the pilothouse).
  • A 20mm cannon (mounted near the front of the pilot house)
  • A 37mm cannon (the big gun up front)
  • A 40mm cannon (the big gun on the backend)
  • Four torpedos (not shown, but you can see their mounting brackets along the sides).
  • 16 rockets (you can see two rocketpods of 8 rocket tubes each beside the boathouse)

What are the rockets for?
Will it be like in ww2 where rocket boats fired them at fortified fround?

In real life the rockets were used for killing the enemy.

I would think you could use them to take out gun emplacements on the beachs your Amtracks plan to go ashore at.

By the way, you did see the "other" player controlled water vehicle mentioned, right?

The LVT "Amtrack" amphibious tractor.  The troop delivery vehicle of the navy.

Well, any rocket-toting a/c should be able to make short work of those PT boats, if it gets a shot in. Beaufighter pilots used to see their solid AP rockets coming out the opposite side of freighters they shot up, after it went through whatever cargo was inside.
