The 16-year-old could be charged under a law that went into effect January 1 and makes taking a recording device into a movie theater a crime punishable by up to one year in jail and a maximum fine of $2,500.

A year in jail for video taping a movie in the theater?  Yeah, that sounds reasonable.  Charge him the maximum fine and ban him from the theater...then have him arrested for trespassing if he ever comes back.
Three Times One Minus One.  Dayum!
