AH2  pan padlock does not work like AH1.

Sit in runway and watch drones go around in both versions and the differences will be apparent.  Snap Padlock works the same in both, but not Pan padlock.

Same thing as the mouse view TheDude, but your view/head turns following a target that you have selected.

Sounds cool for what Midnight does with it. I never thought of using it to track friendlies and getting some nice screen shots. Also as Grimm pointed out it has some very "real" use for some who enjoy flight sims. :)

I thought about it but it'll make my neck sore especially in a huge furball and mainly because I'll use it for FPS's as well. I taught myself to fly with padlock with  tips that actual modern day fighter pilots told me how to fly when you're not looking straight ahead. I talk to them at the Dayton Air Show everytime I go there.

My first padlock experince was in Falcon 3.0. It was perfect IMHO, not the linda blair kind. My first on-line experince with padlock was in the Original Fighter Ace. It was a linda blair kind though. Personally I don't care if a padlock is "realistic" or not. As long it helps me, I'm fine with it.
